Communication, Problem-Solving and Decision Making in PK-12 Systems

For online and blended instructional programs, the learning management system (LMS) is the core technology used for teaching and learning. This course challenges teachers and teacher leaders to investigate and synthesis the attributes of a LMS and guides them through a process for selection as well as implementation of an LMS at a school site or district. Students will analyze the technical and educational aspects of selecting, implementing, and sustaining a LMS for schools, districts and communities.
This course delves into the complex dynamics of communicating across all levels of the organization, with all stakeholders, encouraging courageous conversations about student needs and building organizational capacity to meet these needs in a 21st century learning environment.
